Dear Neighbours – Retreat Opportunity @ The Listening Post

The Listening Post located at 382 Main Street for just over 20 years and run by a team of trained volunteers is reaching out to volunteers and staff from the DTES to offer our retreat space. We cannot operate our drop in program at this time of Covid and are looking for ways to still serve the community and honour the safety protocols that are in place.

The space which is quite large and has a high ceiling, can safely hold 6 people at a time for a 2 hour retreat. We have offered a program that begins with a sharing circle, followed by a time of silence/ meditation and then a lighting of candles for those we love and finally a cup of tea.

A very simple program where we listen and honour each other.

We are offering the space for a donation or for free if that is not possible.  We have trained volunteers who would be willing to facilitate a program as described above. However if you would like to bring your own facilitator that works as well.

If you are interested please call Karen Thorpe 604 714-0217

DUE TO CORONAVIRUS THE LISTENING POST IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
